Some people like to feather their nests a little bit, in order to make them feel at home where they are. On the other hand, some people really like to go hog wild with this feathering, until their entire living space is just some crazy plumage. Assuming you aren’t allergic to down, and keeping in mind that this is only metaphorical feathering we’re talking about, you can do this in a variety of different ways.
For instance, have you ever considered having a room with some gaming equipment in it? Maybe a strategy table for battle reenactments over here, and some poker tables over there? While you have unlimited options, games are important. So many people live high stress lives these days, and having a little bit of a release valve keeps things healthier. You do not want to have your stress overwhelm you to the point that you’re bringing the office home with you every night. So let your game room be your valve, and your plumage. After that, you’ll have plenty of room for relaxation.
Of course, this isn’t going to be a perfect solution. Sometimes you’re going to find a way for Custer to win the Battle of Little Big Horn. And sometimes you’ll figure out the hard way which hands win in a game of poker. By that point, though, at least you can either win or lose in the comfort and relative lack of embarrassment being at home affords you. While no casino employee would ever laugh at any string of bad luck, there will be a little bit less sting if the only people who can see your unlucky nights are friends.
